Rooted in land. Guided by story. Growing culture together.
Fianna is a place where people come to remember connection — to land, to each other, and to themselves. We offer nature-rooted experiences for children, teens, and adults that invite learning and transformation through rhythm, relationship, and hands-on skills. Our work is rooted in the regeneration of culture: shared story, seasonal ceremony, meaningful mentorship, and community resilience woven into everyday life.
We live and teach on the unceded traditional territories of the Snuneymuxw, Lyackson, and Tla’amin peoples. In deep gratitude, we carry reconciliation as a guiding value, learning and upholding their stewardship which binds us to future generations.
The name Fianna comes from ancient Ireland — warrior bands who trained in the wild, studied poetry and myth, and lived in service to land and people. Their path was one of deep learning: through the forest, through story, through community.
That mythic lineage informs our own: a way of becoming that is relational, soulful, and grounded in place.
At Fianna, we guide people into deeper relationship with land, culture, and self.
Through time on the land, seasonal learning, craft, story, and mentorship, our programs nurture growth not only in skill, but in presence, responsibility, and soul. Each experience invites us into a wider circle of belonging and helps us remember our place in the web of life.
Regenerating culture that is grounded in place, relationship, and reciprocity
Supporting rites of passage and soul-centric growth
Honoring ancestral and ecological wisdom through story, ritual, and craft
Creating spaces of belonging rooted in interdependence, resilience, and care
We believe that real learning happens in connection: with the natural world, with story and lineage, with challenge and care. Our programs invite children and adults to step into spaces where land, culture, and soul meet — where making a fire or crafting a basket is part of a deeper practice of remembering how to belong.
We are called by questions more than answers:
– What kind of culture do we want to grow into?
– What does it take to mature in today’s world?
– How do we pass on something beautiful, grounded, and whole to future generations?
Fianna Wilderness School is as a regenerative cultural community—bringing people into deeper aliveness through land-based practices, storytelling, craft, and ceremonial stewardship.
